Q: Are there any contracts?
A: There are no contracts.
Q: What sets you apart from other teachers/schools?
A: My passion for quality, enthusiasm and sincerity. In addition to holding a standard of teaching on only professional quality instruments,
I have performed and taught music for over a decade, including study at
the prestigious North Carolina School of Arts in Winston-Salem. I actively
perform jazz, pop, and rock with different music groups in the Triangle.
My name is Isaiah Simpson, and I am a former attendee of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem as well as SUNY Purchase School of Music. Once I was introduced to music my first days of middle school, it grew in me as a vital life force. It has been and is a growing journey and a part of my life expressions beyond words.
I've worked in a variety of professional music atmospheres, and have extensive experience teaching (in addition to piano) hand drums, drumset, singing, and beginning guitar -- all in a variety of genres. You may catch me playing out locally in a jazz club or at major music events hosted in the Triangle.
I help singers achieve vocal freedom, connecting most directly to songs as well as their natural voice.
I live, teach, and play with passion -- and look forward to sharing that with every new student I meet.
Reviews (See my reviews on my google page as well):
"We are so fortunate to have found Isaiah Simpson and his music school! He has made our seven-year-old daughter's first experience of learning piano a wonderful one! He is a superb teacher and we are thrilled with her progress. He uses a variety of techniques, knows how to relate to kids, and has incredible patience. We appreciate that he sends us an email after every lesson with notes and suggestions for at-home practice, which helps us reinforce what they did during each lesson. I highly recommend Isaiah with enthusiasm and without any reservations." - Kate K.
"Isaiah Simpson is currently giving my 12 year-old son weekly drum lessons. Not only is it a huge advantage to have in-home lessons, but Isaiah is always prompt, kind, encouraging, and my son really enjoys his lessons. Isaiah is also very thorough by sending lesson notes immediately after the lesson. We look forward to continuing our lessons with Isaiah as he provides a positive learning experience, tailoring the lessons to my son's musical interests. He incorporates the music he enjoys listening to vs. just teaching a musical lesson. I would highly recommend Simpson School of Music for all the reasons stated above and then some." - Melanie R.
Would recommend for lessons at any level" - Sophia S.
